Beer for Board Games at The Dovetail.

The Dovetail is a great place to spend a leisurely Sunday afternoon. Especially on a bank holiday.

Why not bring along your old board game ( complete please !  otherwise it is no use to anyone)  and for each complete game we will give you a beer.*

So you can clean out your closet and get free beer. What is not to like.

Don't worry if you don't have or don't like games, you can just enjoy the beautiful  peaceful Clerkenwell setting.

Have a great bank holiday. 

We will be closed on Monday. Open again Tuesday as usual.

*One half pint of draught Belgian Beer for each complete game. Sunday 24th and 31st only. Board games must be complete and left with us for our board games corner.

Join us for a fun evening exploring the outer reaches of Belgian Beer. You will be guided by your own beer sommelier and joined by like minded beer enthusiasts. 

These events are relaxed and informative and a great way to spend an evening.

We are proud to be part of CDW 2014.

We have a great offer for lanyard holders. Between Monday May 19th and Thursday May 22nd select any main course and any of 13 draught Belgian beers (half pint) for just £10! Lunch times only 12-3pm. During this busy time booking is advisable. 

We want to join in the fun so throughout the week we will be offering customers free tastings of many of our Belgian Beers. So come along and try some of our very hard to find and exclusive beers.

Our next group beer tastings is on 22nd April. Featuring the beers of the great Duvel Mortgat brewery.

If you like, Duvel, Vedett, Maredsous or Leifmans this is for you.

Our friends at the brewery will be bringing along their printer and each participant will receive a personalised bottle of Vedett to take home.

Beer tastings are fun and informative. You taste at least 10 beers and food pairings. Services of your own Belgian Beer expert. Cost £30 pp inc.

We are delighted to announce another visit from our friends at the multi award winning Timothy Taylor Brewery. Come along for an evening of tasting, chatting, but mostly enjoying these great beers.

We will have a special menu, selected to complement the beers.

CHRISTMAS IS OUR FAVOURITE TIME OF THE YEAR.

We can really go to town with great food and drinks.

We have devised the menu below which we hope you will enjoy as much as we did putting it together. 

All our Christmas booking should be made in advance, tables will be dressed with crackers and a bit of magic. Menu selection are pre ordered so everything goes smoothly and everyone has a great time.
